Managing Partner
Richard qualified in 1981 after completing his training in Devon. He started practice with a London firm in the West End and soon joined Frere Cholmeley, a Lincoln’s Inn firm, where he was an Assistant Solicitor for several years before moving to Warner and Richardson in 1985. He became a partner in April 1987. Richard managed the firm from 1990 to 1999 and has resumed the management again in 2006 for a second term.
His areas of expertise comprise Company Commercial matters, Commercial Property and Agricultural Property and some Residential Property mainly involving larger country properties and some London Residential Property.
He has built up a following in Land Options and Conditional Contracts and also in the diversification of farm buildings for which there appears to be an ever increasing market.
In his spare time Richard enjoys skiing, long dog walks, country pursuits, vegetable gardening and beekeeping. He lives with his wife on the northern edge of the New Forest with their two children and the rest of the menagerie of a horse, a pony, a donkey two dogs and the bees!!
Richard is a member of the Law Society and also served for 5 years on the Hampshire Committee of the Country Land & Business Association.
